Loud Love out on February 7!
New Silver Girl sounds today sonically richer and bolder than ever but still retains the innocence of rock and roll. The band recorded a brand new album ”Wild Carnation” (out on Ivana Helsinki Records on Feb. 28) at legendary Abbey Road Studios in London with the producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Hinds, Regina Spektor).
The second single of the album, "Loud Love", will be released on Friday February 7. It collides the explosive guitar work with Jagger/Richard styled hooks. The song works like a surrealistic rock and roll dream leaving no one cold on the ballroom dance floors either.
The song follows the internationally well received first single "Blue Room” that got its premiere on HYMN Magazine, the biggest indie release in Sweden, was played on the radios from Brazil to Portugal and reviewed through the globe extensively.
The video for ”Loud Love” was shot and directed by Paola Suhonen. Presenting Paola’s own loud love and tribute to David Lynch, the immortal master of modern cinema, who also once handed over Paola’s graduation certificate to her at American Film Institute in Los Angeles.
New Silver Girl is in many ways an exception in the field of contemporary indie. You won't find the band in the influencer-driven attention economy markets of Meta, Bytedance, or X. Instead, for Happonen, rock and roll is a religion and blues is its holy church, whose congregation gathers around live gigs, vinyl records and real encounters with people.
